Jun 8    Red Clay Business Workshop - Storycrafting 101

Storycrafting 101: The Basics of Storytelling for Businesses and Beyond

Presented by Anthony Vinson

Crafting strong stories is the key to telling better stories, thereby facilitating clearer communication. This is true whether presenting, training, or selling. The better crafted your story, the better your chances of delivering the right message to your audience and achieving your goals. Storycrafting is the process of crafting the right story, for the right audience, at the right time, every time. Storycrafting provides the foundation upon which to construct narratives that support both your purpose and the needs of your target audience, and creates the best possible delivery system for your message: a story.

What’s your story? More importantly, how can you effectively communicate your story to touch others and encourage them to take action? In a business environment, stories are used to inform, educate and inspire. This workshop will deliver the framework and process for crafting the right story that resonates with your audience, anticipates questions and effectively communicates your business's message and mission.

Jun 13    Industry Council
TOPIC: For the entire year, Industry Council will focus on 6S Workplace Organization. 6S programs provide the framework for manufacturing and industrial operations to improve housekeeping, standardize processes, increase efficiencies and reduce accidents. 6S programs may fail by design and/or deployment, resulting in a lower return on the resource investment.

Each Industry Council meeting in 2018 will focus on one of the "S" methodologies - SORT, SET IN ORDER, SHINE, STANDARDIZE, SUSTAIN, SAFETY with discussion to help resolve your 6S challenges. We are pleased to partner with Larry Alford of Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute for this series. Larry and his team will be on hand at each meeting to lead the group in understanding and fine-tuning these processes with attendees sharing best practices or challenges in each of these 6S areas.

If you are interested in attending an Industry Council meeting, please email Paige for additional details.

SCHEDULE:  Beginning in February, Industry Council will meet bi-monthly on the second Wednesday of the month from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. The location will change from meeting to meeting so that we can showcase different industries and participate in tours at each meeting location.
